Miss Pain's 2 girl/1 boy electro-glam racket has been whipping up a storm in their native Brighton. Abusing their arsenal of archaic noise machines and causing a scene, their every show is a spectacle of high-drama, mild-belligerence and uncompromised glamour, and all carried off with unfaltering elegance and suavity.

Miss Pain take their influences and rub them up the wrong way, bonding Roxy Music with Add N to (X), Serge Gainsbourg with Nancy and Lee, The Cramps with Phil Spector, Messiaen with Marlene Dietrich, Make Up with Joe Meek, Ennio Morricone with BBC Radiophonic Workshop, to create an intoxicating blend of 50's pop, dark soundtracks, white-noise, electro-rock and sleazy duets.

Support slots for Le Tigre, Whirlwind Heat, Eighties Matchbox B-line Disaster, The Gossip, Pram, Max Tundra, Gravy Train!!!!, plus a headline performance during Radio One Live in Brighton, have won the hearts of the non-converted, the trio unleashing their barrage of screaming, droning, squealing, thrashing and falling, with flailing limbs and coquettish poses. Press coverage is on the rise: see Careless Talk Costs Lives, Kerrang, and numerous web-zines, whilst demos have sparked rapturous praise and air-time on the Careless Talk Radio Show, Totally Wired, Juice 107.2FM, as well as making playlists of DJ's and bars in Italy, Canada, Slovakia and Czech Republic.

The reputation of Miss Pain's one-off showcase soirées in their hometown marches on into 2004. An apparently inexhaustible flow of ideas has touched on electro-shock therapy, rudimentary science, health and beauty, the poetry of war, cocktail chic, glamour, and noise, among other things. Each event taking in performance art, dj'ing, live music from local and international bands, with the venue transformed to suit the theme and free chocolates, cava and other not-so-subtle touches to add that final dusting of decadence – Think 'The Blue Angel' meets 'Cabaret' via Warhol's Factory and you're on the right track.

Miss Pain have released two 7" singles on Tbilissi Recordings, "E.B.F.H./Campari & Sex" and "Heartbreaker/Caught My Eye".

"Miss Pain orchestrate noise, and noise is the biggest sound there is" (unnamed witness, May 2002)
